Located in the south-west region of China, Guizhou plateau is believed to be one of the birthplaces of tea trees in the world. Boasting low latitude, high altitude, scattering of sunlight and more cloudy daylight with natural dew and mist, it is a premium tea producing region in the world.
Duyun Maojian, formerly known as "White Maojian", "Fine Maojian", "Fishhook Tea" and "Sparrow-tongue Tea",is produced in Duyun, Guizhou province. Since 1956 when named Duyun Maojian by Chairman Mao, it has become a world-known tea as one of the top ten famous teas in China. "Duyun Maojian" is GI(Geographical Indication ) registered and protected, it stands out of thousands of teas in China and around the world using tea leaves from unduplicated geographical conditions, terroir and unique processing methods, etc..

Tasting notes: Covered in fine downy hairs, the twisted fishhook shape leaves of the Orthodox Dunyun Maojian are a delight to the eyes. The infusion is very refreshing and gives off delicate notes of chestnut and floral aroma, with a lingering aftertaste and unique smooth finish of Guizhou Plateau terroir.
