Ankang Pingli County, located on the Huaihe River in the Qinling Mountains, is a land wealthy in selenium, densely covered with tea trees,mainly produce selenium-enriched tea.

The legends of Nvwa mending the sky and creating man have rich folk customs and cultural relics in Pingli. It is the earliest and most concentrated origin of historical records, and has a profound cultural heritage of Nvwa, the first mother of mankind.Therefore, the tea produced in Pingli County, Shaanxi Province is also called Nvwa tea.

As early as in the Tang Dynasty Lu Yu's "Tea Classics" "Eight", Pingli was listed as one of the eight major tea areas in the country, "Shannan Tea Area".
